SMP design is an eight person full service Architecture firm based in Blue Ash, Ohio. We have 4 licensed Architects on staff. We are a firm with a wealth of experienced professionals, who have provided leadership and authorship of significant Architectural projects for almost two decades in the Cincinnati market.

Each of us at SMP design bring a diverse background of design skills to the table, including experience with public works, hospitality, retail, healthcare, institutional, education, mixed-use development, and residential projects. Our careers include leadership and management of Architects and Engineering teams on mid-size to very large projects, including complex multi-phased campus redevelopments, master planning, and feasibility-concept design studies. Our individual experiences include leading and managing the design delivery of multiple projects in excess of $200 million.

SMP design uses a highly effective system of communicating the design from a very early stage, through three-dimensional virtual models. The way we design and produce documents using software such as SketchUp, allows participants in the process (Owners, Consultants or Contractors) to visualize and experience the proposed project. Powerful Building Information Modeling (BIM) software tools such as Autodesk Revit, enhance communication with the Owner and allows maximized coordination and communication with our consultant engineers and contractors, resulting in better estimates and fewer RFIs.
SMP design is unique among Architecture firms in that we have in-house Construction expertise. SMP has a Construction Management professional that leads the construction side of our Design-Build projects and is instrumental in guiding the design staff with knowledge of the industry, costing, logistics, and construction practice.
